Anioma: up and up with our culture
Anioma people comprise a number of towns and communities living in the present and located in the state Delta, South-South region of Nigeria. The people of this region are quiet and wonderful, while the region has been described as one of the most peaceful in Nigerian politics. People are naturally blessed with beautiful Anioma culture and art shows creative and lasting spell who might be harboring.
Anioma culture over time has become different and typical of the region, so do not ethnicity or group of people who justifiably can claim this culture as it is unique in the region. The uniqueness of this culture is usually a tendency to defend their own arguments out of rooms for which states that the beautiful culture of this people. Say Anioma culture speaks for itself. He has also beaten the cultural imagination of many observers on how quickly culture and tradition of the Anioma people have become homogeneous, though the group has no common ancestral history as many historians mistakenly assume.
While some communities in this region can boast of Igbo descent supported by oral history, many of these groups have a history, obviously, not linked to the home as their place of origin Igbo. It is for this reason that ignorant of history Anioma Anioma not understand that in over 12 languages that exist in this region only. People who are Agbor Ika ethnic group, but agreed to join the union of Anioma with other surrounding communities throughout the region, mainly because all the towns and communities in this region have a common history of the centuries long relationship even before the arrival of Europeans, and shared culture Ika Ozzara common talk.
The Ika people in their native language to know and recognize this, and only the first Europeans and visitors from the region not understand this, because they were not particularly interested in studying the social aspects of people, but eagerly focused their interest in the trade. If you have ever taken the time to see people excited with you Anioma any particular aspect of their culture will surely be full of emotion. The type of dance that requires so much energy Anioma to do is so unique that you can not avoid fall in love with people, especially if you look at Mrs. Anioma traditionally appear in Akwa-ocha, white blouse and red bumps, or even in Akwa-ocha tied to the waist to chest with red beads and traditional costumes typical of the culture of Edo, which in fact admire the people in their traditional dress Anioma attractive.
Various types of traditional dances are in existence Anioma in some of which are Aguba Royal Dance, Dance Uloko, Amala Egu, Okanga, egwu Osusu (Ukuani,) egwu Oshushu (Enuani), etc. Many of these dances are typical of the Anioma people and the people of this region have mastered the art facility in time, adding to the fun for them. I currently advise many of our cultural organizations to find a way to make sure that our youth are trained in these our dances to continue to preserve them.
In 2008 the festival of cultural Anioma enviable prepared by the Organization for the Promotion of Culture Anioma held in Asaba Delta State, Otu A OWA account in Ika North East show a remarkable feat that the group emerged as the winner of the cultural series. Cultural Group Uloko Ndemili, Utagba-One Ndokwa West Local Government had the record of having won both times, even in 2005 and 2006. The Otu Chukwuenyirinma of Agbor was second, while Uloko Ndemili Cultural Group, Ndokwa Utagba-A was third.
Other cultural groups as Otu egwu Anioma Udo Afore in Ndokwa East Otu egwu Eweshi Aduko of Onicha-Ukwuani in Ndokwa West, Banda Ubulu Aguba-ONUR Dance, Otu Chukwuedo Cultural Group Owa-Oyibu in Ika North East, Otu Ita of Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha south Otu egwu Onicha-Olona in Aniocha North have proven force to consider at this party. We wonder what happened to the Ibusa cultural groups often referred to as "the Congo of Africa "
Kudos must go to the organizers for having believed in the distinct and unique culture of Anioma, which can not be assimilated by all foreign ethnic groups. One should not fail to express gratitude to both U.S. Anioma Association Inc to fight and succeed in progress also Anioma course unequivocal demonstration that the future of Anioma is not in doubt and that the identity Anioma is still with the group because they have no way lost his sight, that are relevant in reality.
