Tips and suggestions about July wedding?
Planning wedding which will be in July of 2010. The theme is a bit of wildlife/nature/hunting, etc. I know not to do the hunting part too much or to over due the theme. I have asked this here before and gotten a couple of good ideas, and have also done searches myself and found very little, so I have decided to ask again and see if anyone has more decor, favor, colors, etc. ideas that they would like to share.

Oh geeze… I am not asking for your opinion of whether it sounds like a good idea, if I should do it or not, or your opinion on hunting. I am asking for tip and suggestions on decor and more; if you have nothing to offer with what brain you are hopefully supplied with, then please move on to waste someone elses time.
I am getting married this July (2009) and my parents also got married in July years ago. My wedding ceremony is going to be set in tall trees at a gazebo that overlooks a lake. The reception is at the banquet hall at the same facility. It is filled with gorgeous hardwoods!
The biggest suggestion my mother had was because it tends to be hot, if you’re having an outdoor ceremony like I am (I love nature too! We got engaged while camping!), you need a way for your guests to keep cool. We’re ordering fans so that people may fan themselves to keep cool (we bought samples, but are not sure if we’re using wooden or paper fans yet). Another idea is to have a lemonade/iced tea station.
My fiance is an obsessive fisherman, so we’re having fish in fish bowls as our centerpieces. We’re actually having fancy guppies because I have bred them since I was about 12 or 13 and it has always been a hobby of mine. I also am well aware of transportation issues and as they say with show fish (yes there are fish shows just like there are dog shows) you have to plan for a 10% loss on arrival.
I would also go with a green color scheme to give it a nature type feel. I would be iffy about the hunting part because it could look too redneck, but if you like that look, then go for it! I would choose a beautiful light green maybe with accents in brown for your colors. You’ll find some great ideas, I’m sure!
