Can anyone tell me the procedure to construct an SR flip flop (latch) on a breadboard?
hi, can anyone please tell me the procedure on how to construct an SR flip flop (latch) with NAND gates on a breadboard? where do i start and what’s the first thing i have to do. pls help me out here guys, thanks. i’m supposed to use a 7400 ic for this experiment by the way.
If I remember correctly, pin 1 is Reset, pin 2 connects to 6, pin 3 connects to 4, pin 5 is Set, pin 7 is ground, pin 14 is Vcc+ (5 VDC). I forget which is Q and !Q, but you can figure that out yourself by wiring switches to S and R, and LEDs to 3 and 6. Whichever goes on when S is high, and off when R is high, is Q. The other is !Q.
For best results, download the datasheet from the manufacturer’s web page, wire the ground first, and wire the Vcc last.
